About Nextbridge

Nextbridge AI is an independent UK consultancy focused on practical AI for finance functions, whether in-house, fractional, or outsourced. It was founded by Brian Orogun, an ACCA-qualified Finance Director with over 15 years' senior finance experience. Brian spent much of his career in international finance leadership at Chevron, across the UK, Argentina and Nigeria, where he was responsible for month-end close, statutory and management reporting, budgeting, audit and internal controls (including SOX) for multi-billion-dollar operations.

Much of his work focused on finance transformation, making finance functions leaner and more efficient. He built and managed a new finance team in Buenos Aires, established an offshore finance team in Manila, and led the outsourcing of 20 finance roles in Nigeria. He has also delivered major systems implementations, including Sage, SAP (implementation and upgrade) and energy trading (ETRM) systems, and built a finance function from the ground up for a smaller business.

On the AI side, Brian has extensive hands-on experience with ChatGPT and Codex, Claude Code and Microsoft Copilot, along with practical use of Perplexity, NotebookLM and Gemini. Combined with his finance background and technical fluency, from advanced Excel and VBA to Power BI and large ERP and trading systems, that keeps Nextbridge's advice practical and grounded in real finance work rather than hype. He is now building simple, real-world demonstrations of where AI can safely save finance teams time.
